This week’s episode of The Cat Club Podcast was very much in doubt as late as 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning. But lo and behold, Chuck Oney stepped-up to the plate in the wee hours of the morning and agreed to join us in the studio.
His lineage runs long and deep, having been a founding member of ONEY (1987-1992), The Vague (1993-2013), Chuck Oney & The Flare-Ups!, Bad Idea Cocktail, and of course… his solo work.
The stories that fill his head from the vast touring experiences he has accumulated could fill volumes, but we only had one hour to find some nuggets. We played a few of his solo recordings, as well as took him back in time to an ONEY rocker from 1992.
Alas, we only scratched the surface in regards to the musicians he has played and toured with. We will definitely have him return to expand on the many stories he has within his head.
As always, this is podcasting without a net.
