This week, we welcome back into the studio the wonderful Kenzie Coyne of Columbus alternative rock band Hello Luna.
We have a special place in our hearts for Kenzie and the band, being the first band we featured in an interview and concert review. As the saying goes, you never forget your first.
In this jam-packed show, we reminisce about the kitschy atmosphere and vibe of the now closed Double Happiness venue, and chat about the band’s latest single Lifeboat. We delve into her writing process, make fun of the drummer (Michael Neumaier), and why it’s okay to not know what exactly a song is about when it’s first written. She hints at new music coming soon, as a follow-up to 2017’s EP Ghost of You. We also talk about the excitement of playing Summer Jam West for this first time next month, and so much more.
