This week, we’re going rogue!
No, we haven’t driven the train off the tracks. But we definitely embrace the rogue attitude as PFC Pierce brings his own unique brand of “Working Class Rogue Folk” music to the show.
Nate Rising, in her persona as PFC Pierce, has a wealth of experience in music, including as a touring musician for the better part of 11 years. The name of the band is a direct nod to honor the memory of Rising’s grandfather (he served in the U.S. military during the Korean War).
His vocal styling is very reminiscent of Billy Bragg, while still keeping his unique style very much his own. We talk about the music, he tells some stories, and so much more…
