This week we get REAL on this special 90-minute show with Kenzie Coyne from Columbus rock band Hello Luna.

Kenzie laments the fact that women in rock are still not taken seriously, especially in regard to Hello Luna’s most recent album (Into Static released January 2022). We talk about the media bias she experiences as a woman, and the preconceived ideas that music media has when it comes to covering female artists.

The conversation dives deep and hits you square in the face as Ms. Coyne talks about abuse, depression and the trauma associated with it. She doesn’t hold back talking about the abuse she experienced as a child at the hands of her father. We talk about what “When you see something, say something” means and stress that it’s up to all of us to look out for each other, especially children.
